BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Washington and Lee men's and women's teams were both ranked among the Top 20 in the Lacrosse Magazine Division III polls, which were released on Wednesday afternoon.

The W&L men are ranked 18th in the Division III poll, while the women are ranked 13th overall.

Salisbury tops the men's poll, followed by Gettysburg, Cortland, Wesleyan, RIT, Washington College, Roanoke, Stevens Tech, Middlebury and Geneseo. Fellow ODAC members Lynchburg (11th) and Hampden-Sydney (14th) also appear in the Top 20.

Middlebury sits atop the women's poll and The College of New Jersey, Salisbury, Gettysburg, Cortland, Amherst, Bowdoin, Colby, Union and Franklin & Marshall round out the Top 10.

The W&L men graduated just two players from its 2006 team that went 7-6 overall with five losses to programs ranked in the Top 10. W&L returns 89.5 percent of its scoring and five all-conference players, including the entire starting defense.

The W&L women return 62 percent of its scoring from the 2006 team that posted a 16-4 overall record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
