LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee sophomore goalkeeper Chris Lalli (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week and has also been tabbed the Inside Lacrosse Division III Player of the Week.
Lalli garnered the awards after posting 14 saves and just four goals allowed in a 5-4 win over 11th-ranked Lynchburg College on Saturday afternoon. Lalli recorded eight of his saves in the second half in holding the Hornets to their lowest goal output since the 1997 season.
For the season, Lalli has started all seven games and made 80 saves with 48 goals allowed for a .625 save percentage and a 6.77 goals-against average.
Washington and Lee is 6-1 overall, 1-0 in the ODAC, and ranked 10th in the latest USILA Division III poll. The Generals return to action on Wednesday when they host Randolph-Macon for a 3:30 pm contest.
