SALEM, Va. -- Washington and Lee sophomore center Jessica Hunsinger (Mayer, Ariz./Orme School) and junior guard Louisa Feve (Bethesda, Md./Winston Churchill) were named to the all-conference team which was announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Wednesday evening.
Hunsinger was named to the second team, while Feve was an honorable mention selection.
Hunsinger earned her first all-conference nod after starting all 25 games to date. She is averaging 13.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, and is shooting 45.7 percent from the floor. She has posted 10 double-doubles in 2004-05 and claims 24 double-doubles in just 51 career games. After just two seasons, Hunsinger already ranks second all-time at W&L with 94 career blocks. She has also tallied 702 points and 509 rebounds for her career.
Feve was named to the honorable mention squad for the second straight season. She has also started all 25 games and is averaging 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Additionally, she set a new W&L season record with 43 made three-pointers. Feve needs just eight points to become the fifth player in school history with 1,000 career points. She is also already the W&L all-time leader in career three-pointers (114).
Randolph-Macon junior guard Megan Silva was named the ODAC Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Yellow Jacket Head Coach Carroll LaHaye was tabbed the Coach of the Year. Additionally, Roanoke freshman forward Erin Hanson garnered the ODAC Rookie of the Year award.
W&L (13-12) continues its season on Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament in Salem, Va. The eighth-seeded Generals take on top-seeded Randolph-Macon (23-1) at 12:30 pm.
