SALEM, Va. -- Freshman guard Chris Halkitis (New Port Richey, Fla./Ridgewood) was named to the Honorable Mention All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference team which was announced at the conference tournament banquet held Friday evening.

The 5-foot-10 Halkitis led the Generals in scoring, averaging 11.1 points per game. He also produced a team-high 35 steals and finished second on the team in rebounding (4.4 rpg.) and assists (2.0 apg.). Halkitis nailed 41.9 percent of his three-point attempts and finished with 54 triples, the fourth-highest total in school history.

Halkitis led the team in scoring eight times throughout the season, including a career-high 24-point performance in a 93-84 win over Eastern Mennonite on Jan. 14.

Emory & Henry's Justin Call was named the conference player of the year, while Virginia Wesleyan's Brandon Adair was tabbed the freshman of the year. Guilford's Tom Polombo and E&H's Bob Johnson were both named the coach of the year.

W&L's season ended at 7-18 overall and 5-13 in the ODAC with a 72-61 loss to Bridgewater College on Feb. 17.
