W&L PLACES FOUR ON ALL-ODAC FOOTBALL TEAM
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced
its all-conference football team on Tuesday afternoon and
Washington and Lee had four players honored.
Senior offensive lineman Scott Kucinski (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep)
and senior linebacker Ben Krasnoff (Towson, Md./Towson) were placed
on the second team, while senior defensive lineman Brian Becker
(Vienna, Va./Gonzaga) and junior linebacker Lloyd Wilson (Austin,
Texas/Stephen F. Austin) were honorable mention picks.
Kucinski is a four-year letterwinner for W&L who's career
honors include starting for three and a half years and helping the
Generals rush for 5,661 yards during his four years on the team.
Voted offensive team Most Valuable player this season, Kucinski has
been named to the All-ODAC squad three times in is career and named
All-State twice.
Krasnoff, who entered the season a Preseason Second Team
All-America pick by Lindy's and Football Gazette, earned a second
team selection after he ranked third among the Generals and fifth
in the ODAC with 7.4 tackles per game. His appointment to the
All-ODAC squad marks the third time he has earned the honor in a
career that includes selections as an All-Region and All-State
player.
Becker earned honorable mention after posting a career-high 60
tackles, including 12 for a loss. He finishes his career with 168
tackles, 39 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks. Becker has earned
All-ODAC recognition four times during his tenure as a General,
including three appointments to the second team. He was also named
2001 Honorable Mention All-State and Freshman All-American (USA III
Football).
Wilson was named honorable mention after leading W&L and
ranking third in the ODAC with a 9.2 tackles per game average. He
also led the team with 12 tackles for a loss.
W&L finished the season 3-7 overall and 1-5 in the Old
Dominion Athletic Conference.
