W&L WOMEN'S LACROSSE EARNS NCAA TOURNAMENT BID
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team received the third seed and will face second-seeded Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the semifinals of the NCAA Division III South Atlantic Regional held in Salisbury, Md.
Salisbury State is the region's top-seed and host of the four-team regional. SSU will take on fourth-seeded Ursinus in Saturday's first semifinal at 11:30 am. The winners will square off on Sunday for the right to go to the Division III Final Four held at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., on May 19-20.
The Generals, ranked No. 15 in Division III, earned the bid after claiming the Old Dominion Athletic Conference title on April 29th with a 6-2 victory over Lynchburg. W&L concluded its regular season with a record of 15-3 overall, the most wins in school history.
