W&L PLACES FIVE ON ALL-ODAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE TEAM
SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced the All-ODAC women's lacrosse team on Friday afternoon. Senior Katherine Riddle (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Univ. Liggett) and sophomore Eloise Priest (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's-St. Agnes) earned first team honors, while three additional Generals were named to the second team.
Riddle, a senior attacker for the Generals, garnered a spot on the first team after being named to the second team last season. She finished the year with a team-high 29 goals and 13 assists for a total of 42 points. For her career, Riddle amassed 100 goals and 41 assists to rank fourth on the all-time W&L career scoring list.
Priest, a sophomore defender, moved from the attack position she played as a freshman to anchor this year's W&L defense, which allowed oppenents an average of only 7.69 goals per game.
Named to the second team were freshman attacker Leslie Bogart (Wilton, Conn./Wilton), sophomore midfielder Courtenay Fisher (Baltimore, Md./Garrison Forest), and junior attacker Ellen Ritsch (Richmond, Va./Collegiate). Bogart led the Generals and ranked fourth in the ODAC in scoring with 55 points, including a school-record 30 assists. Both Fisher and Ritsch netted 16 goals and three assists on the year.
Washington and Lee finished its' season with a record of 8-5 overall. The Generals completed the regular-season at 7-1 in the ODAC, good enough for the second seed in last weekend's ODAC Tournament.
