REINHART, RUCKERT EARN FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE HONORS IN VOLLEYBALL
DANVILLE, Va. -- The honors continue to roll in for the Washington and Lee ODAC Champion volleyball squad as two Generals were named to the Virginia Sports Information Director's College Division All-State team.
Sophomore middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) was named to the first team as was senior outside hitter Nancy Reinhart (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart).
Ruckert earned her second straight First Team All-State selection after being named First Team All-ODAC, ODAC Tournament MVP, and ODAC Player of the Year earlier this season. She paced the Generals with a school-record 413 kills, a team-best .339 hitting percentage, 51 aces, 102 blocks, and 295 digs.
Reinhart earned her second First Team All-State selection after being named to the Second Team last year. She was a First Team pick as a sophomore when she earned ODAC Player of the Year honors.
Reinhart was selected First Team All-ODAC in 1999 after totaling 320 kills, 37 aces, and a school-record 429 digs. She also broke the ODAC record for career kills (1,411) and career digs (1,511).
W&L won its third ODAC title in a row and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 1999.
