INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Four members of the Washington and Lee women's tennis team have been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Singles and Doubles Championships to be held May 18-20 in Fredericksburg, Va.
Seniors Emily Applegate (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) and Ginny Wortham (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) were both selected to the singles field, while sophomore Katie Tabb (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) was chosen as an alternate.
Additionally, the doubles team of Applegate and senior Kristen McClung (Charleston, W.Va./Charleston Catholic) were tabbed to particpate in the doubles championship.

She is 16-4 in singles this season.
Applegate and MClung were selected to the doubles championship after posting an 11-0 mark during the 2006-07 season. The proposed third seed for the doubles draw, the duo fell in the first round of last season's doubles bracket, but each has earned All-America honors in doubles twice during their careers.
The NCAA Division III Singles and Doubles championships will be held hosted by the University of Mary Washington on May 18-20. The team championships will be played at UMW from May 15-17.
