BALTIMORE, Md. -- Two members of the Washington and Lee men’s lacrosse team have been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III All-America team, which was announced on Monday afternoon.

Seniors Peter Goodwin (Darien, Conn./Darien) and Chris Lalli (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) were both selected to the honorable mention team.

Goodwin earned All-America honors for the first time in his career after receiving First Team All-ODAC recognition earlier this spring. A Second Team All-ODAC choice as a junior, Goodwin was four-year starter, who tallied one assist and 31 ground balls this season. He also spearheaded a W&L defense that ranked 18th in Division III in goals allowed (7.07 gpg).

Lalli also received postseason All-America recognition for the first time in his career after being a preseason Honorable Mention All-America selection prior to his junior season. A First Team All-ODAC pick in 2007, he ranked fifth in Division III in save percentage (.655) and 21st in goals-against average (7.35). Lalli's 486 career saves rank fifth all-time at W&L, while his .615 career save percentage is tied for fifth all-time.

Washington and Lee finished its 2007 season with a 9-6 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
