ODAC ANNOUNCES ALL-CONFERENCE MEN'S TENNIS TEAM

SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its all-conference men's tennis team on Wednesday afternoon and Washington and Lee had all six singles players and a pair of doubles teams honored. Additionally, Head Coach David Detwiler was named the Coach of the Year.

Earning First Team All-ODAC honors were junior Tim Ross (Malvern, Pa./Conestoga) at No. 1 singles, junior Nat Estes (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) at No. 2 singles, senior Jon Malooly (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) at No. 3 singles, junior Seth Feibelman (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman) at No. 4 singles, sophomore Jamie McCardell (Cornwall, Vt./Episcopal) at No. 5 singles and junior Nelson Bunn (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) at No. 6 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team of Ross and Estes also garnered First Team All-ODAC recognition, while Malooly and McCardell garnered Second Team All-ODAC honors at No. 2 doubles.

Ross is 14-11 in singles and Estes is 15-6 singles, while together, they are 11-6 in doubles. Malooly is 17-1 in singles and McCardell is 17-9 in singles play. As a duo, they are 15-4 in doubles. Feibelman is 19-5 in singles and Bunn is 13-6 in singles.

Detwiler earned the Coach of the Year award for the third time in his seven seasons after leading the Generals to a school-record 19-2 overall mark, a perfect 9-0 league record and the program's 12th-straight ODAC title.

Hampden-Sydney's William Moss was named the Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, while Virginia Wesleyan's Eric Caudill was tabbed the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Guilford College received the ODAC Sportsmanship Award.

Washington and Lee will compete in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Generals will face an opponent yet to be determined in the opening round on May 4.
