TWO W&L WOMENS HOOPSTERS NAMED ALL-ODAC

SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its all-conference women's basketball team at the conference tournament banquet held on Thursday evening at the Salem Civic Center.

Washington and Lee senior center Jessica Hunsinger (Mayer, Ariz./Orme School) and junior forward Kristen Krouchick (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy) were both named to the six-player second team.

Hunsinger, a three-time second team pick, has played in all 25 contests thus far this season, averaging a double-double (12.8 ppg, 10.1 rpg). She has scored double-figures in 19 contests, posted double-digit rebounds on 13 occassions, registered 11 double-doubles and ranks fourth in Division III with 3.7 blocks per game. Earlier this season, she became the ODAC's career leader in rebounding and currently owns 1,031 career caroms. She also claims 1,437 career points and is the career leader in blocks at W&L (261).

Krouchick has also started all 25 games this season and leads the team in scoring (13.4 ppg) and is second in rebounding (6.8 rpg). Thus far, she has scored in double-figures 19 times and has posted three 20-point performances. Additionally, in a 82-67 win over Emory & Henry last week, she became the seventh General in program history to record 1,000 career points and currently possesses 1,029 career points.

Roanoke's Erin Hanson, Bridgewater's Katy Herr Lovell, Eastern Mennonite's Carolyn Riley, Lynchburg's Caroline Welsey and Virginia Wesleyan's Nicole Thurston were chosen to the All-ODAC First Team. Hanson was selected as the ODAC Player of the Year, while EMU's Kevin Griffin earned Coach of the Year honors. R-MC's Molly Ariail was named Rookie of the Year and Welsey was tabbed as Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Randolph-Macon Woman's College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Washington and Lee (15-10, 11-9) is the sixth seed for the 2007 ODAC Tournament and will face third-seeded Eastern Mennonite in the first round on Friday at 8:00 pm.
