LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee junior center Jessica Hunsinger (Mayer, Ariz./The Orme School) has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-District III Women’s Basketball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A psychology major, Hunsinger earned second team laurels and was one of four ODAC players named to the first, second or third team.

Hunsinger has started all 21 games for the Generals and leads the team in scoring (15.8 ppg), rebounding (10.2 rpg), blocks (3.0 bpg) and double-doubles (10), while shooting 44 percent (136-307) from the field.

Hunsinger became just the sixth player in school history to surpass the 1,000 point plateau when she poured in 21 points in a 78-70 victory over Roanoke Jan. 28, W&L’s first-ever win over the Maroons.

Hunsinger is also moving up the W&L record book in several categories. She ranks second all-time in blocks (157), fourth in rebounding (733) and sixth in scoring (1,053). Additionally, her 63 blocks this season are a new W&L record, and she ranks 10th in the nation with an average of 3.0 blocks per game.

The CoSIDA College Division District III consists of schools from NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
