LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee freshman Stacy Doornbos (Roswell, Ga./Lassiter) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 13. The selection marks the third time this season that Doornbos has captured the award and the fifth time that a W&L athlete has won the honor.
Doornbos helped the Generals place fifth among 13 schools at the Dickinson Invitational on Saturday where she won two events and set a school record.
Doornbos won the 55 meters (7.63) and long jump (17'2.75") and finished second in the triple jump in a school-record leap of 34'6.75". For her efforts, she was named the Athlete of the Meet.
Doornbos also established school records earlier this season in the 55 meters (7.56), 200 meters (26.95), 400 meters (59.76), long jump (17'4.50") and 4x400 meter relay (4:16.25).
Washington and Lee will be back in action this Saturday at the Princeton Invitational. The meet begins at 9:00 am.
