SALEM, Va. -- Washington and Lee freshman Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) and senior Ged Johnson (Darien, Conn./Taft School) have been named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference golf team.

James was tabbed as a first team selection, while Johnson was a second team choice. Additionally, James was named the ODAC Freshman of the Year and was appointed to the ODAC All-Tournament team.

James garnered the honors after finishing in a tie for second place at the ODAC Championship with a 77-78--155.

For the season, he placed first on the team in seven of the 10 tournaments he played. His 74.9 stroke average led the Generals and ranked second in the ODAC.

Johnson posted second team accolades for the second straight season after garnering first team all-conference honors as a sophomore. He finished second on the team at seven tournaments and finished tied for eighth at the 2005 ODAC Championship with an 81-78--159. Johnson was 12th in the ODAC in scoring average this season, averaging 77.0 strokes per round.

Washington and Lee finished second overall at the ODAC Championships and claimed the Virginia State Division III Championship during the fall season. The 23rd-ranked Generals will now wait to see if they will be selected to the NCAA Division III Golf Championships on May 9-12 at the Mission Inn Golf Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
