W&L MEN'S LACROSSE PICKED SECOND IN ODAC PRESEASON COACHES POLL

SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference annouced its preseason men's lacrosse coaches poll on Thursday afternoon, with Washington and Lee picked to finish second overall.

Roanoke received three first place votes and sits atop the poll with 45 points. W&L also received three first place votes and claims 42 points. Hampden-Sydney got one first place vote (37 pts.) and is followed by Lynchburg (29 pts.), Randolph-Macon (18 pts.), Virginia Wesleyan (18 pts.) and Guilford (7 pts.).

W&L, winners of the ODAC Championship four of the past six seasons, returned five starters and 31 letterwinners to the fold this spring, including senior attackman Gavin Molinelli (Northport, N.Y./Northport), who is a preseason Honorable Mention All-America selection.

The Generals are currently 1-0 overall and ranked eighth nationally following a 7-6 win over fifth-ranked Washington College on Saturday.
