LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Caroll) is featured in the November 8 issue of Sports Illustrated. Wolfing is profiled in the magazine's "Faces in the Crowd" section.

The issue, which appears on newstands on Thursday, features the World Champion Boston Red Sox on the cover.

Wolfing leads the Generals into the ODAC Tournament this weekend as they look to claim their fourth straight ODAC Tournament Championship. Last year's ODAC Tournament MVP, Wolfing and senior libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) will be trying to go through their entire career without losing an ODAC match, tournament or otherwise.

Wolfing is also closing in on several W&L records, including career kills and digs. She claims 1,421 kills and 1,484 digs during her career and is just 99 kills and 28 digs shy of breaking both records.

Washington and Lee is 24-7 overall and finished the ODAC season with an 11-0 mark.

Wolfing is the third Washington and Lee athlete to be featured in the magazine since 1999. All-America lacrosse player Matt Dugan '01 appeared in the March 19, 2001 edition of faces in the crowd, while All-America swimmer Margaret Hoehl '99 appeared in the same section of the March 1, 1999 edition.
