TWO GENERALS NAMED TO NSCAA EAST REGION SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA TEAM

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 2004 NSCAA/adidas East Region Men's Soccer Scholar All-America Team was recently announced and Washington and Lee had two players represented on the team. Senior defender Peter Miller (Towson, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) earned second team accolades, while senior midfielder Justin Mygatt (Marietta, Ga./Woodward Academy) garnered honorable mention status.

Miller, a biology major, has a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.33. A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, Miller started all 16 games in 2004 and totaled seven points on one goal and five assists. He was also named Second Team All-State this season after earning First Team All-State honors as a junior. Miller finished his career with 13 points on three goals and seven assists.

Mygatt, a biology and German Literature major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.64. He was an Honorable Mention All-ODAC selection this season after starting 15 games and finishing second on the team with 13 points on five goals and five assists. Mygatt concluded his career with 32 points on 13 goals and six assists.

Washington and Lee finished the 2004 season with a 6-7-3 overall record and a 3-3-3 mark in the ODAC.
