LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior linebacker Ben Krasnoff (Towson, Md./Towson) was selected as a Second Team Preseason All-American by Lindy's College Football Preview Magazine.

Krasnoff earned First Team All-ODAC, First Team All-State and First Team All-South Region honors following last season. He led the ODAC with an average of 10.4 tackles per game, totaling 94 tackles in nine games. He also led W&L with 16 tackles for a loss, two of which were sacks.

Krasnoff is the third W&L football player to receive Preseason All-America accolades from Lindy's in the last two years. Running back Chris Sullivan and offensive lineman Mat Rapoza were both cited last year.

Bridgewater linebacker Jermaine Taylor and Guilford defensive lineman Brian Person were also among the 2003 first or second teams. Taylor was a first team selection, while Person received a second team nod. Bridgewater was ranked fifth in the magazine's preseason Top 20.

Washington and Lee finished the 2002 season with a 5-5 overall record. The Generals were 3-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, tying for third place. W&L returns eight starters on offense and seven starters on defense for the 2003 campaign.
