BALTIMORE, Md. -- The 2003 USILA Division III Men's Lacrosse All-America teams have been announced and Washington and Lee claimed three players on the list, including junior midfielder Dustin Martin (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius), junior goalie Ansel Sanders (Weems, Va./Woodberry Forest) and senior defenseman Noah Weber (Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown), who were all honorable mention selections.
Martin earned his first selection to the All-America team after garnering First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors this season. He finished second on the team in scoring with 31 points on a team-best 22 goals and nine assists. Through three seasons, Martin has claimed 73 points on 56 goals and 17 assists.
Sanders earned his first nod to the All-America squad after earning Second Team All-ODAC honors in 2002 and First Team All-ODAC accolades in 2003. He finished second in Division III in goals-against average (5.89) and logged a .608 save percentage.
Weber also garnered his first All-America nod after receiving First Team All-ODAC honors this season. He helped spearhead a W&L defense which finished fourth in Division III in scoring defense, allowing an average of just 5.93 goals per game.
Washington and Lee finished the 2003 season with a 9-5 overall record. The Generals advanced to the ODAC Championship game where they fell to Lynchburg, 6-5, in overtime. Of W&L's five losses, four were by one goal and three occurred in overtime.
