LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's soccer team will face Greensboro College in a first round match in the NCAA South Region Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 pm on the Liberty Hall Fields.

The winner of the match will advance to the regional semifinal to face the University of Texas at Dallas in Dallas, Texas on Saturday.

W&L has matched up once with Greensboro already this season, winning a 3-0 decision on Sept. 22 in Lexington, Va.

Trinity (Texas) was awarded the region's top seed and a first-round bye. It will face the winner of Savannah College of Art & Design and Emory University on Saturday.

The 14th-ranked Generals earned an automatic bid to the tournament after capturing their first ODAC Championship on Saturday afternoon. W&L battled Lynchburg to a 0-0 tie through 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute sudden-victory overtimes before laying claim to the conference title by holding a 5-4 advantage in penalty kicks. Entering the NCAA's, the Generals' overall record stands at 15-1-4. The 15 wins is the most in program history.
