LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee junior Chip Campbell (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) was named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference golf team which was announced Wednesday.

Campbell was also placed on the 2002 All-ODAC Tournament team along with freshman Carlos Spaht (Baton Rouge, La./Episcopal).

Campbell placed second overall at the ODAC Championship held April 22-23 at the Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, Va., shooting a 74-73--147. He finished five strokes behind the individual champion, Dave Patterson of Guilford College. He leads the Generals in stroke average thus far, averaging 75.6 strokes over 18 rounds.

Spaht placed sixth at the ODAC Championship, carding a 76-75--151. He is second on the team in stroke average, posting an average of 77.3 over 12 rounds.

Guilford College's Savio Nazareth and Jack Jensen were named the ODAC Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.

Washington and Lee placed second at the ODAC Championship, firing a 304-300--604. The Generals finished five strokes behind team champion, Guilford.
