LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior pitcher David Sigler (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division III All-South Region Team on Tuesday afternoon. Sigler was a second-team selection.
Sigler went 6-2 with a 2.86 ERA, striking out 48 batters in 66 innings of work. He started nine games for the Generals and hurled seven complete games and two shutouts, while holding opponents to a .268 batting average. He finished his career after breaking or tying nine W&L pitching records with an overall record of 21-15. Sigler is also second all-time on the career strikeout list (214) and holds the fourth-lowest ERA in school history (3.62). Earlier this year, he was also named First Team All-ODAC for the second time in his career.
The Generals finished the season with a record of 23-8, the most wins in school history.
