LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior attackman Matt Dugan (Rockaway, N.J./Mountain Lakes) is featured in the latest edition of Sports Illustrated in the Faces in the Crowd section.
The issue, dated March 19, arrives in news stands today and features Dugan on page 34 for having broken the school career scoring record in the opening game of the season against Elmira College.
Dugan tallied five goals and three assists against the Soaring Eagles to eclipse the record of 234 points held by Don Carroll since the 1976 season. Dugan's total now stands at 240 points on 151 goals and 89 assists.
Dugan is the second Washington and Lee athlete to be featured in the magazine during the last three years. All-America swimmer Margaret Hoehl '99 appeared in the same section of the March 1, 1999 edition.
