W&L WOMEN'S SOCCER EARNS ALL-SOUTH HONORS

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Three members of Washington and Lee's ODAC runner-up women's soccer team were named to the Adidas NSCAA All-South Women's Soccer Team on Monday afternoon.

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) was named to the All-South Second Team, while senior fullback Shana Levine (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) and junior midfielder Kate Bidwell (Pensacola, Fla./Escambia) earned third-team honors. Bidwell's selection to the third team was her third-straight.

Harris becomes only the third General to earn second-team status, following Nancy Mitchell (1990) and Karin Treese (1996, 1997).

Harris, a first-team All-ODAC selection, started all 18 games in the net for W&L this season. She accumulated 133 saves and held a 0.864 save percentage. She finished her career with a school-record 1.00 goals-against average and places second in the W&L record books with 27 career shutouts after posting six in 2000.

Levine tallied one goal and two assists this season to bring her career totals to 15 goals and seven assists. Levine earned first-team All-ODAC honors for the second consecutive season and was also named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team.

Bidwell came on strong at the end of the season leading the Generals to the ODAC Tournament Final, scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime in the 2-1 quarterfinal win over Eastern Mennonite. She tallied eight goals and three assists during the season. Bidwell also made the All-ODAC first team.

Washington and Lee and Lynchburg were the only two ODAC schools to place players on the All-South roster.
