LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team has earned the number one seed for the 2000 ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament which begins on Tuesday afternoon.
The Generals will host Guilford on Tuesday at 2:30 pm in the quarterfinal round.
Washington and Lee finished its ODAC schedule at 8-1 which placed the Generals in a three-way tie for first place in the conference with Roanoke and Virginia Wesleyan. W&L won the tiebreaker and was awarded the number one seed.
W&L (15-1) is ranked 18th in the latest NSCAA national rankings and third in the south region poll that was published Monday morning.
Washington and Lee has set school records for wins in a season and most consecutive victories (8) this year. With a win over Guilford on Tuesday, W&L would then host the semifinal and final rounds in Lexington on Friday and Saturday.
