LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team was honored on Thursday as four Generals were named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference team. Senior defenders Kimmy Lubin (Wimington Del./ Lawrenceville) and Cory Mettee (Baltimore, Md./ Notre Dame Prep) were named to the conference's first team. Senior midfielder Lauren Francis (Chester Springs, Pa./ Downingtown) and junior attack Katherine Riddle (St. Clair Shores, Mich./ University - Liggett) were named to the second team.
Lubin and Mettee both helped anchor a defense that allowed 129 goals in 15 games (8.6 goals per game). Both of them started all 15 games. Lubin was named the All-ODAC second team last season.
Francis scored 14 goals and 15 total points this season, taking most of the draws for the squad. She scored a career-high five goals in a 21-13 victory over Virginia Wesleyan on Apr. 16.
Riddle scored 28 goals and 38 total points on the season, ranking first on the team in the former and second in the latter. She scored four goals in a 15-5 win over Hollins University on Mar. 8 and in a 15-6 win at Guilford College on Apr. 11.
W&L finished 7-8 on the season and 6-2 in the ODAC, reaching the conference tournament semifinals for the 11th consecutive season.
