LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee womenUs swimming program was honored at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference/ Atlantic States meet this weekend as senior Margaret Hoehl (Tullahoma, Tenn./ Tullahoma) was named the ODAC/ Atlantic States Swimmer of the Year and head coach Kiki Jacobs Moore was named ODAC Coach of the Year. Hoehl broke three meet and school records this weekend, finishing in first place in all events. She timed 5:09.25 in the 500 freestyle event and 1:57.36 in the 200 freestyle event. Hoehl finished up her trifecta of first place finishes with a time of 17:46.18. Hoehl made RBS cuts for all three events for the NCAA meet, which will occur in Oxford, Ohio. The meet will run March 11-13. This is the second straight honor Hoehl, who has been named All-ODAC in each of her four years at W&L.
Jacobs Moore's honor marks the sixth consecutive season that she has been named either ODAC or Atlantic States Coach of the Year. Her nine wins this season were the most in program history. She now has a 62-43 record in eight seasons at W&L.
